Take a look at the bags on this Water Buffalo: GT 750 on EBayI swear... putting pictures on this forum will be the death of me.... Anyway, are these the same bags as found on our RE5's? Did Re5's ever have the crash bars this bike has? Did the owner add those black seals? It's a nice bike, isn't it.....

Hi Tom, definitely not factory Suzuki Re5 bags. I'm sure these are aftermarket but I'm not sure who the manufacturer is. My GT750 came with dealer installed Shoei & I'm familiar with Bates, Wixom. Could they be Drager?
Looks like they were made for another safety rail, there is an extra mount
Nice bike!

Tom, I know a little about those bags. The manufacturer is Calafia , they made the bags complete as shown with the seals on the top and lower bag as shown. They also made the safety bars and wrap around dress rails and you will notice one is missing, a common occurrence. They were headquartered in Fullerton Ca. about less than 30 miles from Disneyland in Anaheim. Calafia also made an excellent riding suit and a true custom saddle as well as color matched pieces all made and painted and sewn together in Fullerton. Tim

They are bigger than the stock RE5 bags, aren't they, but look somewhat similar. I wonder if those would fit on a RE5?
I seem to remember just one of these for sale on EBay awhile back (I can't remember if it was the left side or right side) and it had the crash bars, it was black. The seller said it was a stock Suzuki bag but it never looked quite right to me.
Interesting....

Here is the bag I was thinking about.... it's still there: Aftermarket bagTo me, it looks different than the Califia bags or the stock bags. Then again, maybe it is a Califia???

The lids may have had a slight change for different brands. , for sure side to side.
Yes, I think they were bigger and held more then the Suzuki Accsy.RE5 bags. Your link looks just like Calafia to me.
I have a much rougher RE5 set color black, I think might be complete as the rails were cosmetic and prone to getting loose.
They came custom color matched for many brands and models. I'm using Calafia RE5 bags & bag mounts for a GT-550 with no
wrap arounds and they tuck in closer to the shocks.

I have one new bag , blue, as pictured , not a RE5 bag and probably have a used lid and used bar (s) to match. If anyone is interested, I will check which side I have.

Did the owner add those black seals? The RE5 bags had less floor space due to a wider exhaust clearance and specific bag mounts for the wrap around package that you pictured. Calafia used our RE5 shop Demo for the make-up. Complete wrap arounds were made for the RE5. Seals are the same for the lids. Tim

Still have the bag pictured above in this thread. This is a standard bag and the RE5 bags had a larger cut out at the bottom for the exhaust. Calafia riding suit and rear bags. Top bag is a Harley sizes box for sure, also Calafia.
