I don't but your post had me rereading the old thread. It's great to read the history of bike you posted. I must have missed your contribution at the time. What a pity you didn't get it back in '87.

I took him to the local Suzuki dealer to pick it up.I had a 750 Honda K1 and when we went for rides the re5 was the talking point, even back then. When the tank was lost it went into his mothers shed. That was about 1978 and it came out in 1987.The guy that bought it was also a mate and he got it going quite easily and rode it around his property with an auxiliary tank strapped on the frame. He planned to get a tank and never did.His son as a teenager decided to have some fun and pull it apart in the mid 90,s.Interest was lost and parts gathered up and it was put outside under a tarp. That when i tried to get him to part with but he said he will get to it one day.But believe me it was in pieces as photos posted but in very good condition, but years outside took its toll.I moved house and so did he and the whole time we lived 50 meters away from each other. Finally give up asking but asked again in 2013 and he said another mate of his put it on Gum tree for him and a guy from Adelaide bought it. Balfour who bought it new now picks up my Garbage bin every Thursday and stops for a talk sometimes. We often talk about our younger bike days and the Rotary.I am sure he has photos of it new and if so Wayne if i email them to you you could attach them to this post,as i have no idea how to. My memories of all those years ago was following behind him thinking is he going to change gears as it just seemed to keep going up in revs. The damage that was done to it was us coming home one night from the pub and he come off in the gravel in his Mum,s driveway at walking pace. The re5 m i bought looks the same and when i showed Balfour all he could say, start it.He smiled and said i haven,t heard that note for a long time. When he rode it he came back with a smile and said he went back in time. Great times the 70,s
