this bike was sold at bonhams october 2011 for £2100.it belonged to a guy who sadly passed away just before the TT in june 2011,he owned a shop in port erin isle of man and we actually saw the bike in his shop regards mike

Thanks Mike. I think I may have seen it at the old Norton factory in Rugeley. They had made a few conversion manifolds for the RE5 , I was almost tempted to convert one of my bikes, From what I remember they ran very rough at low RPM but then absolutely flew at above 3500 RPM and it was hard to stop it going into the red. I don't think I would like the MPG. I wonder if STARLIGHT Now have the manifold castings ?

hi rog the conversion on this 1 was done by the owner in the isle of man he was a well known engineer and racer there.

I take it that's a fuel pump on the right hand side of the photo? Just what we need more stuff sticking out the side of an RE5 motor.
