Some of you will notice I have my RE5 listed on Ebay. I am selling t to fund a major motorcycle trip to Alaska and back with my three sons next year. I do however have a line on another low miles RE5 that I may pickup to restore after our trip. I don't know if I am asking too much for my bike we'll see. I hate to sell it but I am not a rich man and I had to balance my love for this bike with the opportunity to take a remarkable unforgettable journey with my boys. I will continue to keep online and posting with all of you.

Damn Dan! GLWTS but must be a bit of a sad moment. As long as you can get another (if you want it) then it's all good. I must admit I'd be tempted by that trip as well- but I'd probably make a bit of crystal meth to pay for it...

Why not set a reserve at your current price and start the bidding out low? That will give you an idea how much people are willing to pay for your bike.

Must be hard to get rid of that one . I hope you get your price . Mine needs some work to get to where yours is . Question I have is . What bike are you going to take to Alaska? My choice would be a BMW GS . Or maybe even a Yamaha Super Tenure ( I like Yamahas)

My oldest boy is in the Air Force with a wife and new baby so he is essentially living in poverty and my two other sons are in college so they can't contribute too much to the endevour so I will have to fund most of the adventure myself. I won't be able to afford much having to buy 4 bikes so I am looking at Kawasaki KLR650's or Suzuki DR650's. I have seen some 650 V-Stroms with decent pricing out there as well Probably going to buy low miles used or solid bikes I will rebuild as needed.
