Got back from the march hare rally at waimate nz last weekend. Did about 1000 kms round trip. Bike ran very well except of course for the poor fuel economy, around 7-11litres/100km depending on the speed which was 100-150 kmph! Rally was great, bike was probably the most commented on in around 1000 bikes there. Used around 800ml injector oil for the trip which i reckon was ok. As usual, it rained on the way back to Blenheim but the beasty ran sweet as the entire trip.
Cheers Gareth

7 litres/100 is in the ballpark. I'd be pretty happy with that.
Of course 11 is something you'd expect on a racetrack, not on the road.

Leaky water pump has turned out be just wee dribble on occasion and is no huge deal according to some experts (jess). So I'm happy with that. Cheers everyone!

I think you'll find that very statement in the reply I gave you. Along with photos and details of the tool you asked for. Sorry you missed it.

Hi Wayne, yes you did say it was no drama, I sort of over dramatised it a bit. I am dreading the day I have to pull the thing apart to eventually fix it. Unfortunately I didn't get any photos of the raaly myself but the march hare website should post some in due course.....

Look forward to seeing the bike in the pics.
The job is nowhere near as bad as it looks when the day comes.
