Ok...
Now I know my welding stinks.... But hey, Aluminum is a bear to weld...
Steel I can weld like a machine... Especially 4130.
Comments?

This is a sidecar for an RE5? Looks like quite a project.

Yep... It will be attached to this bike... This one is my daily rider I have designed an articulated sidecar chassis and mounts specifically fro the Re5. The hope is( if I done my cyphering right ) that the bike will be free to lean, as I have never liked the rigid mounted, lift a wheel when turning, standard sidecar rig. The mounts will attach to the bike without any modification and the sidecar will be quick on and off when set up. I figure two bolts and bam... she's apples. It will make it so the dogs can go with... ;D Hope to have it done in a few months... (fingers crossed) Best, Jess

Finished the frame and mounts... Hoping to road test the beast in the next week or so if it ever stops $%^&ing raining... Once road tested and I survive (I hope)... Then it will be time for complete strip down for powder, paint, varnish, and uhpolstery... all of which will be done by me... Damn job... gets in the way of everything... Will keep you guys posted Best, Jess

Another 100 posts gets you 3rd gear. Must be your have to increase the rpms to shift into 3rd on an RE5.
