Great job! My wife would kill me if I loaded up the dining room table like that. Just out of curiosity, how long did it take you to do the entire restore? I'd love to have your workshop. I'm stuck with a 10' x 18' shed that I share with my table saw, lawn tools and stored Christmas decorations. I just cleared the remains of my M model model off the work bench so I can start working on the carb I got off ebay for the A model rolling chassis. (It was sitting on the table saw). I was hoping to get back to work on it soon, but since I just sprained/tore (don't know which for sure yet) the ACL in my right leg Monday I suspect I'll be slowed down a bit. It's hard to get much done in the Summer here as it's so hot and I have over an acre of yard with lakefront to take care of. My little 5000BTU AC unit really struggles to keep the shed liveable in the summer heat here in Florida. Hopefully now that it's cooling off I can (once I heal) make some real progress on this thing.

I'm not 100% sure how long it took, but I'd say I started it at the end of winter, probably march. I would have had it done a lot sooner, but since I had my kids helping me it took longer. (That was an excellent bonding experience by the way). I'm kind of an intense high-energy person, so I would stay up pretty late working on it. It was painful to see each beautiful summer day slip by while looking at boxes of parts.
The "workshop" is my 2-car garage that I share with my wife. She gets displaced from time to time and has to park outside, but that is only when the project takes up more than 1 stall. I rarely get to park inside from projects of my own doing. I am a firm believer that a good work area is necessary for a successful and low-stress project. I stored all the medium and small parts in plastic bags inside of plastic tubs all stacked in the corner so I didn't lose track of them. She was annoyed that I used the dining room table like that, but we never use it anyway. It was only that way for 2 weeks. I used it to keep track of what I had polished/cleaned/painted/etc. It gave me a sense of accomplishment to move each part from the garage to the table.
Sorry to hear about your ACL.
I totally understand the heat. We had several weeks of painful heat and humidity (not florida, but way hotter than normal). That heat just kills my energy level. Props that you are able to work in a 1-car sized area that you share with lots of other things.
Sorry for the late response, I've been lurking over in tuning/troubleshooting and forgot to check restoration.
Thanks for the kind words. Garrick
