I was in the dilemma of whether to go for paint or powder coat for my restore, in the end I bit the bullet and went for powder coating. I was going to use a company called Triple S which is based up north but in the end I thought I'd try a local company. I've had a heap of stuff powder coated, frame, swing-arm plus loads of other stuff. The company I used had done a fantastic job. They masked off all threads etc. The frame looks like its been painted and the frame number is still visible unlike some other jobs I've seen done by other companies. The turn around was less than a week and very reasonable cost. The company is ASAP in Coventry UK is anyone in the Midlands is looking for any powder coating. www.asapindustries.co.uk/I'll post some pics when I get the chance. I'm now waiting for a pile of stuff to be chromed by another company in the midlands, about 30 items, and the price... sit down, I had to.... £650 ! (that doesn't include the exhausts). The company are reported to do a fantastic job though. The price for chroming has shot up since I last had any done 30 years ago

I had the frames powder coated on all my bikes, it's personal preference of course.
By the way Ray your bushes will be posted tomorrow.

Thanks Ziggy, I always think guys selling RE5 stuff on Ebay must be members of this forum. I look forward to receiving them so I can get my nicely coated swingarm & frame joined up to my immaculately restored rear shocks Ray
