Received a text today from a friend. He said Mazda built its last rotary engine last friday.
Is this true?

For now, yes. They might still be doing some work on hydrogen rotaries but they can't get the rotary to meet fuel consumption/emission levels for the future... A sad day...

I'm not a big Mazda guy but I drove a Twin turbo RX8 (I think that was the model ;D ) and that thing would just sh!t and get. Might not be a bad future collectable... if ya know what I mean.

Probably a twin turbo FD RX7. Awesome cars, I had one and loved it. Only sold it due to darn kids!!!!
The RX8 is apparently nice as well but no turbo. Turbos really make rotaries something awesome.
