I'm finally fitting the electronic ignition system I bought off of Jess many months ago and noticed the oil seal behind the points distributor was leaking, (part number 33171-37010, dimensions 15x28x7.)
Because I don't want it off the road any longer than necessery does any one know if it's a part that can be bought here in the UK ?
(I've tried Crooks Suzuki already)
Cheers.

Just an FYI - If I remember correctly you will have to remove the entire primary cover to replace this seal.

Just a quick one, to all Are standard nitrile oil seals ok to put in the bike as it runs a lot hotter than most bikes out there.
Is it worth paying a bit extra and using viton seals.
Regards Stuart.

I have used both genuine Suzuki seals and some over-the-counter seals from bearing shops. None of them have ever looked like Viton and I've not had a failure in up to 10,000 miles other than the water pump water seal (which is most likely due to wear of the shaft tip bearing).
Go ahead with the regular seals.
