Anybody out there ever put any kind of windshield other than the stock fairing on an A model? I am pussing out in my old age and like a windshield in front of me. Thought about one of the plexi style so it could come off easily. Might even consider a complete stock fairing.

I have a plexistar clear windshield sitting on the bars/headlight of my A model right now but got called away before I could check fitting. I think it will work. I'll send you photos when I get back if someone else hasn't already assisted.

I might not be reinstalling my Suzuki fairing, in case you might be interested. I have the whole kit with the large rear rack.
No rush. I don't even have it running yet.
I'm in NY.

I am interested in pics of the plexistar.
Also keep me informed on the fairing. Depending on price and shipping I could be interested in it also.

Here is a National Cycles Plexistar 2 generic windshield mounted on my A model. Hope this helps. I included detail of one of the lower mounts. If you need more details of upper mounts let me know. The black textile material is just cut from a shoulder strap and is there to protect the chrome from the hose clamp fitting. Wayne    |

YES THANKS A BUNCH! I forgot I posted and just now went back to look. Old age I guess. I actually took the bike out over the weekend and another 75 miles on and it wasn't as bad as I remembered. So maybe I'll leave it naked. But that style windshield looks like it could work well.
