Short answer is no. Some of the parts interchange, but not as many as you would think. Jeff

And you'll be delighted to find that the RE handles much better than a GT, possibly because of it (solid engine mounts for a start).
Not sure what they've done exactly, but it works. The evolutionary mid step between the GT and the much praised handling of the GS.

The earlier GS750 Suzuki's definitely are very similar to the RE5 as far as frame geometry.

When I first got my 76 A model RE5 I put my 76 A model kettle next to it and I couldnt believe the differences, including the frame.
