That advertisement must be a few years old by now, don't know what happened to it?
One A model sold early last year in the U.K. with 0 miles for £14,000, maybe it was the same bike?

It's hard to say what we're looking at there but I think that it looks genuine. Get them out in the sun and they look pretty shiny. Only a closer inspection will reveal how bad the factory finish was.
The stock engine sidecovers are polished but nowhere near the standard that people have them polished these days.
A close inspection of an original casing will reveal a couple of things. The first is that the standard of polish is not very good and the second is that any nook, curve or corner that they thought they could leave unpolished, they did. And of course they plastic or lacquer coated them. I'm not sure which.
If you're a mate of Ashcan aussieRE5, we'll probably meet up. Wait 'til you see the NOS cases on my A model. I've just received a fourth NOS case for it (alternator cover) and while it looks good at first glance, it's truly amazing how bad they were.

Your right, I can tell that the finish from the factory was not complete on the casings. With the whole bike clean when new the casings did not have perfect, they only had to be good enough to get someone to buy it.

In the battery shot I don't see the metal connector holder. Did they eliminate that on the 76 model?

Those connector holders disappeared while still making M models. Also there are several connector holders under the tank that disappeared. My M is a relatively late model and has none, the blue that I did was an early solid oil line model and it had them all.

Does anyone know where this bike came from? a good friend of mine and a suzuki dealer since 1964-65 had a 0 mile 76 that he sold about 4-5 years ago. The rumor was it went to a collector in northern Arkansas. but nobody will say for sure
