I had previously reported that I was getting no spark on my barn find '76. I removed the contact points, dressed them a bit with fine sandpaper, reinstalled them and set the gap. Still no spark. But after removing the CDI box, opening it up and having a look inside (I saw nothing that looked abnormal but I have no idea what I'm looking at) and blowing magic dust remover through it, reinstalling and then disconnecting, cleaning and applying dialectric grease to all electrical connections in the wiring harness I now have a nice, bright spark at the plug! Amazingly, all lights, signals, horn and instrument cluster lights seem to work fine. So, maybe all the electrical gremlins have been evicted. I still have to change out the oil(s) and oil filter, coolant, replace the foam air filter element and reinstall the fuel tank. The front brake master cylinder will definitiely need a rebuild before it is rideable. I believe the caliper seals are OK and can be reused. Pads look fouled but may clean up and be useable. Right now, I will need a MC rebuild kit, air filter foam and the little threaded bezel ring that secures the ingition switch in it's mount. I have contacted Rotary Recycle on the needed parts. Any advice is appreciated!
