If the M model speedometer housing is listed by a seller called "kimcuthair2011", watch out and ask her questions. I recently bought an M speedo housing from her based on the photos and description. When I received it, the housing was broken at the bottom and the left side round cover had a large dent-not shown in photos or described in item description. She advertised it as "money back guarantee". After several (cordial) e-mails and a complaint to ebay, she finally returned my money; Now she wont allow me to bid on her items.

I saw that auction and was suprised that anyone bid as it was clear, to me, from the photographs that the lower housing was broken with peices missing...
Another reason to buy parts from Rotary Recycle, (shameless plug).
We won't send a part that we would not use on our own bike. Most parts are not perfect, as they are 30 plus years old, but as usual, you get what you pay for...
Also, if there is any problem, send it back for a full refund... No issues.
Best,

She did have some nice stuff, though, including a starter for $45 that I should have bought.... her "perfect" front fender just brought $350, nearly what I paid for each of my RE5's....

350.00 for a rechromed straight fender is a good deal for someone...
Chrome has gone through the roof. I have a commercial account and get a significant discount. I doubt I could get one chromed for less than 350.00
The last thing I had done was a set of exhaust tips. Two cones, Two caps, my cost... 200.00
I bought one of the nicest original A models I have ever seen for 1000.00... 8 years ago. Those days are long gone...
Just my 2 cents.
Best

How much? Can somebody tell me what is involved in replacing a totally opaque lens?

Jess, The broken/missing piece is not shown in the ebay listing. The piece is on the very bottom and is not visible. Also the left side trim cover has a large dent- also not visible. I thought for $186.00, the item was worth it if both side trim covers were good. If posting a photo to this board was easier, I would post it. At any rate, I just bought the trim covers from you today along with a headlight housing , front fender, and air filter. Lesson learned-- stick with Rotary Recycle.
I also bought the left and right mufflers listed by kimcuthair2011 and returned both. Both were missing the baffles and end plates; one muffler had a dent and the other was heavily pitted/rusted on the bottom--she never mentioned or photogtaphed these issues. I returned them along with the speedo housing. It matters not, I repaired my muffler rattle and don't need them now. Based on the rusted/pitted condition of the mufflers, and this seller's failure to disclose the flaws in the parts that I bought, I am curious to know if her "show chtomed" front fender is show chrome over pitted or thin metal. Once again, I played it safe and bought from you. Brian

I bought a clock assembly complete from Jess and Barb some 3 months back, superb quality and price, why would you shop anywhere else ??

I have a NOS set of clocks which I bought a couple of years back, naturally they weren't particularly cheap, but they are zero miles and crystal clear. I realise I'm never likely to use them, but I haven't got round to ebaying them as yet.
If they are of any interest just send me a pm.
