Hi there everyone. My name is Darren and I'm based is Sydney Australia I just purchase a ratty RE5 from an importer in Melbourne. Thanks John from Antique Motorcycles. I have been reading a bit on this forum which has given me the confidents to go ahead and purchase this bike.. I'll probable will have alot of questions in the future, so hopefully some will have an answer and like wise. I'm wondering the vin numberRe513203 mean anything to anyone. Anyway expects some dumbs question to be put out there and Rotary Recyclers here I come Darren

Hi Darren Looking at the RE5 register, it looks like your RE5 should be Red and have engine number 12918 and was first registered in Feb 1975 in South Dakota USA Ray

Thanks for that Ray I'll post some pictures shortly At the moment the tank and side pods have been painted brown an ugly brown but underneath that is orange so I didn't expect you to say it's meant to be red Also it has the shorter exhaust . Would that be right Cheers Darren Cheers Darren

Darren,
No one can tell you if your bike came with specifics as the factory records are not that good...
The registry was copied from the old RotaryRecycle web site. The information was a compilation of factory records, as well as records that Sam Costanzo had collected.
