I bought a 76 RE-5. I have the blue 75 now I have the black one. Well, I have what is left of a black one. It's all in boxes and apparently its all there. Owner claimed it did run before he took it apart. 20k miles. Tank is good on the outside but needs to be creamed. It had a clear title, so that's a plus. Pipes have been painted black so no telling whats under the paint. Had my brother-in-law look it over and pick it up... I was expecting a more assembled bike, but it is what it is. I would have taken it down to the frame anyway so I guess its ok. $600, I think it was worth that. Its not as rusted as my 75 so I think it will turn out ok. Regards, redbug2

When you get a bike like this you are going to go through everything anyway, so what does it matter if it is apart as long as all the parts are there. Just makes it harder to make sure it is all there.

Certainly not a home run.
If this one is all there I believe it will be worth it. I believe its worth at least $600 in parts with the title.
I'm in the middle of restoring/cleaning my Blue 75, rear end off right now. Engine still in frame. I think I would take the engine off of the frame for the next one. So, the 76 will be stripped down totally anyway, its halfway there! Yes, as long as all the parts are there I'll be in good shape.
Now I only need a red one to complete my collection! (But not until the other two are done, unless it is a super deal....)
