I seem to recall that there is a procedure for bleeding the metering pump after reassembly but can't find it in my manual.
Does anyone happen to know the procedure ? I think that there is an air bleed screw on the pump (?).
Thanks, Wayne

This is what I do:
1. Confirm there is oil in the tank. If tank was completely empty, allow the hose to fill before connecting to the OMP. 2. Once the oil is flowing from the line and without air bubbles, connect to the OMP. (sometimes if there is an air pocket within the hose it will become air-locked and wont bleed by gravity alone.) 3. Unscrew the small Phillips screw (next to the banjo bolt) till the weep-hole is exposed and allow the OMP to drip for a few mins till your confident that there is no air in the unit. 4. Lastly tighten the bleed screw and your ready for start-up. As a precautionary measure you could confirm that oil is being pumped through the carb's one-way valve.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Zach, precisely what I needed.
As I like to fire them up from long storage or rebuild with a 100:1 premix, I'll also leave the check valve loose as you suggest and wait till I have oil coming out.
Much appreciated.
