I have looked through the manual several times, and I can't find it. What torque to use on the front sprocket for the driving chain.

To my knowledge there is no mention of it in the service manual, but I have a note of between 100-150 N-m or 72.5-108.5 lb-ft but as to its accuracy I don't know. Im not suggesting using this figure, but as a guide it can't be far away. Hope this helps. Regards Roy.

I came acroos the same problem on my A model, I'm pretty sure I torqued it up the same as on the clutch shaft as it was the same size with the same nut.

Roy, thanks for answering. I will try that. Lee, I had the same thoughts, but if you look at page 15 in the manual the clutch sleeve hub is only tightened with 18-29 ft-lb. Mine is tightened a lot more, about 100, if I remember right.

so far all of my re5's the sprocket nuts have only been finger tight, (scary) so i torqued them to 35ft lbs as i could not find the correct setting in the manual, 100ft lbs sounds quite high!

100 ft-lbs sounds OK....1975 Z900 front sprocket spec 87-108 Ft-lbs. The nut is notorious for loosening itself
