hope nobody has to remove a plug like this when i bought my re5 the guy gave me a new plug on getting bike home i noticed it was misfiring a bit so decided to put the new plug in.it was then i realised the guy had tried to remove old plug and cracked it as it broke into 2 with no stress on plug spanner at all.i was lucky i managed to get it out with an easy out it took me over 3 hrs going very carefully since then i remove plug every month regards mike Attachments:

I appreciate the photo...
This illustrates why I thought the old plug adapter design was so faulty.
The old plug adapter used a cut off plug and as you are now well aware, if that piece becomes stuck, it is a bear to get out of the engine.
The RR design solves that issue.
Again, good illustration of what NOT to do...
Good job be patient enough to get it out without turning the proper into a boat anchor.

thxs jess i just hope nobody else has this problem.i was very lucky as usually an easy out can expand the metal its being screwed into and jam it even tighter regards

This is why I always coat the threads and seat with anti-seize.
