That port valve cover clamp

I know that my re5 has been apart before.... I have many of the receipts from the previous owner. Way back in time.  So its not a surprise that some things are not quite as Suzuki intended.

One of these is the clamp that holds the cover on the LH port valve.  It came as another surprise that I don't seem to be able to find any part numbers for the clamp or cover....

I doubt for a moment that the original cover clamp is still available, but is there a part number for it.  Having searched various parts manual I have found nowt.

The part number for the port valve cover is 13136-37000. The cover # is 13138-37001

The cover was expected to be replaced on the core when returned.

Do you have the cover without the holder?

I have the 17/2/81 receipt from Monty & Ward (Edenbridge, Kent) which shows that a new Rotary Assy was installed on the bike. So it may have been then that the original port valve cover holder was misplaced.
I have the cover, which looks fine. But that spring arm which holds the cover on is not the original and has to be fitted to a different fixing. Had Suzuki run out of money at this point?. A couple of Philips screws would have held the cover on better.

So I suppose that cover arm cannot be order separately…….. A daft thought.

I was impressed with the p/n’s. Were they hiding in plain sight?.

Impressed! Those numbers don't even turn up in the index of my very early and later parts books.
