Thank you Mazdaman, much appreciated. I've added the photos for you.
From a few communications with Kevin and what I've read on the web about his company, the conversion is in very good hands.

Looking good Josh, when you fit the carb are you locking the port valve fully open or leaving the cable attached so it is timed to open with the throttle. I have my SU carb set up to open along with the port valve and it seems to work ok just experimenting with different needles as it was running a bit rich. Regards Stuart

Yes with the way it’s made.. if you try and adjust the port valve the same, will most likely pool the secondary throat of the intake with fuel. Because most standard carburetors bring the fuel out from the bottom.. and the secondary port is the first to get fuel. Because the primary is at the top of the intake runners. So in my opinion I think it’s going to be best to set it up like a Mazda peripheral port. And they do fine. So the port valve to be open at all times. Yes it’s most definitely going to be more jerky at low speeds. And a little bit less power on the lower side of the RPMs. But mid and top should be a screamer. I’m going to try a Harley CV40mm carb. Thinking being it’s a cv carb it should come in transitioned like the original secondary. But then this brings in a newer problem.. the engine doesn’t make a lot of Vacuum.. so will see. May end up not using a cv carb and just using a flat slide carb that’s got an accelerator pump.

Very nice phenolic adapter.
I'm guessing if Suzuki had that technology back then for the intake manifold, that would have solved many
heat related issues such as surging and in the extreme, a vapor lock.

Very well done Mazdaman! Nice to see how well it revs without the typical hiccup. Looking forward to hearing how it fairs during longer test sessions. Would be interesting to see if it unleashes a few extra horsepower. The RE5 always has a very satisfying pull when that secondary opens up.

Certainly sounds good. As for heat related issues, most of the carb hanging past the radiator which would have to be a good thing.
