I was wondering why the rectifier connector was laying on top of the battery, or where the battery would be if in place. A look around the forum showed that there is a bracket connected to the frame which holds the rectifier connector. This bracket has a part number - 36684-37000. Google returned 2 results, neither anything to do with the bracket. Fleabay returned zero. What a surprise. It's not the biggest issue. Things like - finishing the engine rebuild, are a higher priority.......
Anyway, does anybody have a draw full of these brackets and has a desire to part with one at a suitable price??
I bet most of these and other brackets were just tossed away years ago
Better show a pic of the bracket. 12 is its number

The early bikes (early Ms) had brackets fitted under the tank and near the battery to hold wiring. The factory abandoned these with the later Ms and beyond. More penny pinching. I have a feeling that bracket was a victim of the bean counters. Hope you can source one.

If anyone is willing to take precise measurements of their M bracket, it is not difficult to model it in CAD and have a shop waterjet cut out the shape.
Bending it is doable if one has a press-brake.

Unfortunately. no drawer full. I may have#16 as pictured in first parts book that goes under the tank. $6.98 May require enlarging .
