In Australia, the front brake light switch was not fitted to the M but was supplied with the A. You can get a road safety check and certificate (what we call a pink slip) on the M without the front brake light switch fitted (I had to supply proof and it's in the AU Owner's Manual- says fitted only to overseas model). However, always interested in safety I fitted the actual Suzuki part and got it working anyway (wiring was already in the headlight shell). And hated it. Finicky to adjust and half the time it would hold the light on making the bike less safe. Member HGH770N supplied the pic below of his conversion to hydraulic front brake light switch. A much better solution. I'm sure a quick Google will show up mechanisms you can use. Thanks Roger:

I never thought of putting the banjo bolt switch on the splitter. Good thinking. I will do the same. That traditional little switch under the handlebar is poor but does work ok for cable operated front brakes (GT550J)
