From member HGH770N. As part supplies diminish, Roger has been looking at alternatives. Some general ideas for members: Headlights as far as I got some time ago. The Stanley 001-1014 lens is used on other Jap bikes but the rear mount is different to fit the “M” ( Honda 750, Kawasaki Kz750/900 as well as the Suzuki GT’s). Also the Koito lens could be used . Suzuki rim 35111-37640 has one adjustment screw at o'clock. If you use this rim with a Stanley 18m-s used on Honda’s with the adjustment screw at 6 o’clock with pivot at 3 & 9 . With a slight mod cutting the location slots so the lens fits correctly works fine. Photo of one fitted to Keith Vernon’s bike , just needing the adjustment screw fitted: I was also looking at the Yamaha SX500-650 that has a very similar profile but would need modifications to the screw holes The lens frame for most of the Stanley lenses are not at 6 o’clock from the pivots The glass moulding location lugs are off set so you may find you have to cut out all 3 to fit correctly. The XS one seems to be the best if you can’t get the 35111-37640 rim (see 2nd pic below): And just to bend your brain with how many headlight rabbit holes you can dive into:

Text by member TYP110 (Michel): I have found a replacement for the headlight that fits very nicely and has only a few things to modify in order to fit. It is made of glass (not plexi), is road-legal in Europe and is cheap (30€)! The company that sells the light is based in Germany and is quite big. There is however a catch: the replacement light is only for those of us who drive on the right side of the road. Maybe there are company's out there that can provide an alternative for left-side drivers? The diameter of the light is 180 mm (7 inch) The box with the order number of the light. It includes the light itself, the bulbs and the connectors: The light itself with the bulbs and connectors: Other side of picture 2: Two of the raised "studs" on the glass rim have to be removed in order to fit the light. I used a small saw and a file to do this. Be aware: one stud has to stay and it is important to leave the correct one! I made up on o-ring with a diameter of 2.4 mm to fit in the rim that goes around the light in order to get a tight fit: The headlight mounted into its frame: The finished light:
