Hello to all, Sorry for the delays. I have now emptied my storage unit. I have found most everything to complete 1 RE5. The one I decided to build was the 76, as I had that engine running, although that was many years. My friend Ron still ribs me about it, saying I almost sety porch on fire with flames coming out the open manifold. My question today concerns the 75 rotary proper. It has been in dry storage for about 17 or 18 years. I put a socket on the engine and turned VERY slowly. It turned very smoothly 360, but didn't seem to have much compression. The starter is out of the question, as the trans is mostly gone. What would be the best way to try to turn the engine fast enough to get a good compression reading? It's going to be quite a while before I start assembly, since it will take a while to sort out all the parts for it.
On the other end of the spectrum, my Hercules is actually much closer to functional. I know the board is for the Suzukis, but thought there might be info available for the Herc also. I believe mine is a 75, red pre-mix model.
Thank you all for your time.
