Yamaha TZ 750 4 cylinder 2 stroke
1975 at the Indy mile flat track with Kenny Roberts, He rode it again in 2009 at Indy.

I saw that TZ750 do a couple of parade laps at the Del Mar Mile quite a few years ago now. The rider (not Kenny Roberts) revved it a lot, the crowd went wild, it makes a very intimidating sound.
I had a 1977 Yamaha RD250 that made a great howling sound when it was accelerating, when it hit the motor's sweet spot it was incredibly smooth.

I got goose bumps when the TZ-750 first started in the video.
I was at Del-Mar, too for a short track event, really cool.
My memories include my 72 GT-750 with the exhaust cones and comparatively unsilenced, from the later bikes, air intake
at a nice smooth speed of 80mph.

Actually, it is my old 72 GT-750. Back in 1974 on a 2 up road trip camping gear and all.
I had Just got it back out of the shop a week earlier with a warrantied crank seal.
