This could be very useful. Thanks again to FRAMITRON (onya AL as we say down here!).
"And a wonderful time lapse video of a teardown of an early M model (10619) with nice orange metalflake, rear kick, hard lines and big bore exhaust. Was a little puzzled when he put RTV on the exhaust gasket surfaces though. Maybe he lost the compression gasket. He has 4 other videos with more detailed teardowns as he chases a weird rattling noise in the transmission".

Interesting video. Would also be interested into finding out what that rattle turns out to be.

Hi Tim: He (funlife_garage) mentions the cause of the rattle in the comments of his video titled: #00 1975 Suzuki RE5, Engine Noise After Restoration. (He has 8 videos of him working on his bike.)
"Thanks for your comment. Yes, I found the cause of noise, eventury. I forgot mentioned about it in the channnel. It was maine shaft bearing which I selected general one instead of genuine one, because it was not available from Suzuki. The genuine bearing has gloove for retainner to stay correct position, but normal bearing dose not have it so that maine shaft can be move thrust direction. It allowed to conact shifter forlks and gears and making noise…"

OK, Thanks for that Al. All the more reason to keep the oils changes on schedule.

Tim: I'm not sure if the rattling noise was oil specific but seemed to be caused by him installing a bearing that did not have a circlip groove so it wandered in its bore. (Or at least that how I interpreted his reply.)
Also, on more careful observation he does seem to have the proper exhaust gasket but presumably he just likes to augment the sealing with RTV.
I just watched his video titled: "#08 Suzuki RE5 Motorcycle restoration_Project final?" He has a nice surprise at the end of this video.
*Spoiler alert*
After completing his red model M he has acquired a blue model M that he is planning to restore so perhaps there will be even more videos in the future.
