I'm new to the forum, please bear with me.. I've recently bought a suzuki RE5. Needs restoration. I'm looking at getting it running before I start stripping... I notice that the throttle is solid. Whats the procedure for cleaning the carb, as I'm guessing its all seized up etc...

The 2 throttle cables split into 5, two of which activities the port valve mechanism located under the carb , this port valve can seize, sometimes seriously over time and difficult to un seize without splitting the “Proper “ (Rotor) unit. If this is seized the whole cable system will seem seized.
