Pics and information by a board member, many thanks, you know who you are! I had a faulty water pump shaft. Instead of trying to source a new shaft, I decided to repair this one. Worn out water pump shaft: Shaft diameter originally 8 mm worn down to 7.5 mm. I machined it further to 7 mm: I made a tight fit for a piece of 10 mm SS over the 7 mm axle and took the Stainless down to 9 mm: The oil seal behind the waterseal is a strange size, an almost unobtainable inner diameter of 13.6 mm. While working on the damaged tip, I also machined the mating surface of the shaft down to 13 mm. Now a standard seal can be used: Because the bearing in the cover was slightly worn, I enlarged it to 9 mm in order to receive the "bigger" shaft (now 9mm with its Stainless sleeve). This should hold up for many years:

Or you could but a new shaft and seal kit from me :-) Terry, I think we need an AM supply list. There's so much available now. Waterpump shaft and seal kit from you. Waterpump sintered bearing, check valve, electronic ignition, plug adaptor, instrument flip hood from Jess (I'm sure there's more) Instrument face, chainguard duck tail, float chamber gaskets with more to come from Stuart Carby needle and, may have the wrong person here, this could also be Stuart, enrichment valve nipple from Roger. Definitely. Need to make an AM supply list for the Board.
