I seem to recall any paint match was an expensive color camera match. I once matched up the Firemist Orange with about 7 or more seperate chemicals and was just too expensive. And the color was dependent on the strength of the spray coat.
I wasn't aware anyone including the original equipment supplier had paint available.
Good Find

The likelihood of finding someone to match RE5 paints probably lies more with a small company like Tamco, rather than a big one like PPG or House of Kolor/Valspar. I and many custom car guys I know have had great service from Tamco. Tammy Miller is the contact there. She custom mixed paint for my 1964 Buick Riviera custom project.

I bought enough to paint a fairing and saddlebags, but need to wait for warmer weather. No heat in my garage. Will update when I get it done.

Both the colours on the bike use a candy coat over a metallic. The finished product depends entirely on the number of candy coats.
Red is fine flake silver base with a red/orange candy.
Blue is black base, fairly coarse silver flake thinly coating it followed by blue/cobalt candy.
This is why pretty much every bike was different- so many variables with the coats.
If someone mixes up a single stage paint then it won't be that close to original.
Good to see those RS paints are base& candy packs. It'll be up to you to do the colour matching with the number of candy coats. Good luck Dana!
