I'm after a trip meter knob for an M model instrument can. If anyone has one spare they'd like to sell, please PM me. It's the black plastic thing with the knurling. I think they're just a push fit.

I'll have a look when I get back home tomorrow, Wayne. I can't recall whether my spare cluster had a knob or not? If it does, it's yours FOC .

Funny, I thought they had a little screw in the guts. Could be completely wrong- I often am, according to my wife.

I noticed this ovaling or enlarging out, from the factory or previous owner trying to get the speedo apart?

Tim, I have a vague memory of there being two positions for the trip meter knob during the production run (?). Could be wrong though. Was this a case of trying to mate instruments from the one run to cans from the different version ?

Sorry Wayne, no luck finding a spare knob I'm my box of bits. I'm not even sure that my spares bike even had one when I got it?

Thanks anyway Neil. I had another offer come in after yours and I asked them to hold 'til you checked your supply.
I've let them know that you've lucked out so I'll be able to pick one up after all.
Thanks for trying.
Cheers,

Once again, this board and its members prove what a wonderful resource they are.
Thank you so much to Timpa136, my restored instrument cluster has its trip meter knob and I can put that project to bed.
Thank you...........

Anyone have an inverted odometer?
