I'm interested in arranging a meet up or rally for people in the PNW who own these bikes. I've seen only a few over the years, but I can't be the only one in Washington, Oregon or Idaho with a running bike (or three lol) It would be a thrill for me to actually ride with a group of RE5's. It may just be a day event or a few days travel with stops arranged in between. I'm willing to put the work in to make it happen as long as there is interest even if it's only a couple other bikes. PM me or post here. Thanks! Ski.

I'd be up for it if it's not too far north. I'm in Reno NV and would be willing to meet in Oregon or southern Idaho. There's a great Campground/motel called Three Rivers at the bottom of Lolo pass that I'd love to revisit. Great riding, and they have a really good restaurant. But it might be a bit far of a ride for most RE riders.

I grew up in Montana and have been through Lolo a few times. Great area. My longest single day ride was Seattle to Great Falls, MT. 653 fun filled miles of monkey butt. lol

I'm an Ironbutt member. My longest nonstop (except for gas and food) ride is 2500 mi. But I didn't do it on an RE. I don't see myself, at this age, doing more than a 500 mi day on an RE. You might also post your invite to the Facebook RE5 page to increase interest as there are people there that don't follow this forum.

Now that's some serious monkey butt. lol I'll look into Flakebook. It didn't even come to mind since I tend to avoid it as one avoids eating uncooked chicken left in a cooler for a week whilst swimming in a cesspool and washing it down with month old, unrefrigerated milk. If I can remember my login, I'll see if I can locate the page and post it. Despite my disdain for FB, that is an excellent idea.
