Hi, I've got the tell-tale weep of coolant coming out the small hole rhs of the motor. To refit the new seal, is it worth buying the tool from rotaryrecycle to push it in, or can i make do with a socket or something as a suitable drift? Also, how long roughly will it take to do the job from start to finish? Also, is rotaryrecycle taking orders yet, or is it September? By the way, I'm in South Australia, anyone near me? thanks

I guess rotaryrecycle is doing the big move now. I imagine it will take quite some time to move everything. I don't know the answer to your question but hopefully someone will chime in who knows.

If youre handy or know a lathe person they can make a up a tool using a piece of PVC pipe fitting. I've made tools for installing fork seals and such like using pvc fittings i then machined to the size i need. I have not done any tools for the RE5 water pump simply because ive not needed to go into that part of my engine yet..

I had a slight weep and Bars antifreez sealent worked for me. It was added to the RE5 from the factory.

My seal fell apart just leaving the shaft seal retainer plate in the engine housing. The spring and carbon seal were loose. I'll just drift the metal plate out with the most suitable tool I can find at the time! Oh and if you have found an Australian supplier of the seals I'd be interested to hear- I'm trying to find one at the moment.

I'm waiting for rotary recycle to reopen so I can buy a new water and oil seal. My bike's off the road now.
