Quit laughing ;D This bike is finally roadworthy after mucho work and expense, and as you can see I haven't even started on the cosmetic part. What a blast!! I fixed the clutch and it shifts like a dream, I have it so that it starts and runs easily (Jess's spark plug adaptor and electronic ignition), tires, chain, seals, etc. and hours and hours of work. I still need to fine tune the adjustments but it's all downhill from here. Curiously.... the more miles I put on it the better it runs. And it likes fresh gas. The gas from my last fill up was only 2 months old and I could tell when I put fresh gas in it. I really don't have much of a flat spot but I do have the grinding judders but just briefly. For now I'll just avoid that part of the power band. Tomo

The grinding judders ? That's part of the "character". One reason for liking my RE5 is that you know you're on something different when you ride it. Who wants everything UJM vanilla ?
Congratulations.

Tomo, You could tell the fresh gas!, a few more miles in the saddle you'll be able to tell the humidity out as well as the temperature of the day and if the gas has alcohol content or not. he-he. Character! Congratulations.

Nice work!
Dude, seriously, stick some bars with a lower bend on it.
How anyone can ride with the original cowhorns is beyond me*.
*Don't tell Wayne I said that...

That makes for a "Sit up and beg" riding position!
