Hi guys!
I'm going back together with my clutch cover and there is no info in the shop manual about how to bleed the oil metering pump (that supplies oil to the carb). I let oil flow down the hose from the oil tank to the pump and then installed the hose on the pump.
I did a search and I think Wayne mentioned a bleeder screw. Is that the one phillips head screw to the right of the output hoses?
I guess I could pull the small hose to the carb off of the check valve and crank it over a bit and see what I get (without starting the bike).
I saw several posts about running premix 100 to 1 until I know I've got oil pumping, I will do that for sure.
Thanks for any help!
Tomo

hi yes take the bleed screw out let oil run out until no air bubles come out, and pipe is full with no air bubles in it.and you could also take the pipe off the pump the one that goes to the carb, and use a oil can full of 20/ 50 and pump it into the pipe until it comes out the carb end that way the oil feed gets to carb quicker when you start it up.and when you start it up hold the oil pump at max to get the oil there quicker. you can tell ,it will start to smoke alot from exhaust.then let oil pump off. hope this is some help steve
