Folks have been asking about electronic ignitions.
It takes a minimum order of 10 units for me to do them.
If you want one, post a reply here in this thread. Once I have ten replies, I will ask each person for a deposit so that I can afford to build them.
Total cost 395.00 Deposit required 250.00
Once 10 folks commit and place a deposit, I will deliver within 90 days or refund everyone's money. The deposit will be otherwise non-refundable.
Any questions, feel free to ask.

I took some photos of the install in my bike. follow the picture to go to Webshots.com to check out the album. I hope it is helpful. It should dispell any fear of the job being too dificult.

Nice work Al. I don't reckon you need foam around the coil though - well I didn't use any on mine. I just secured the coil firmly (not too firmly - you don't want to crush the coil) against the frame rail with the worm-clamp. It hasn't moved at all since I installed it. It's absolutely imperative that you locktite/silicon the trigger collar on the distributor shaft. AMHIK. Bloody good kit, Jess. You'll easily sell another ten. Cheers Paul

Al, thanks for posting the pics. It helps us to understand how to do a quality install on the replacement ignition system. I haven't had time to install mine yet. Eric

I don't think I would pack all that foam around the coil. The coil gets hot just through normal use and it has oil inside of it to take the heat away from the windings. If you shake the coil you can hear you can hear the oil sloshing around inside of there. By packing it in foam you insulate the cooling surface trapping the heat inside the coil.
If you don't like the worm clamp you could use an automotive style coil holder bracket as that looks to be an auto coil in the first place. I'll bet there are some very fancy bling brackets on any hot rod store's website.
Just my 2 cents....

Point taken. I'll put some thermistors down there to see what is going on. The foam was what was on hand. What really worries me, is the rectifier. That thing gets hot. Barbara is today sending out invoices for the units...
Everyone on this list that wanted one has replied... with the exception of one person.
If you do not receive an invoice, please shoot Miss Barbara an email.
We hope that you will enjoy the units, and we appreciate your support.
Best Regards,
Jess
