Apparently, I need to address an issue. Barb has been getting a bit of flak lately...
There is no great conspiracy as to why we want engine and frame numbers with every order. The reasons are as follows:
#1. Suzuki made changes throughout the model line. We want you to get the right part for your bike. Obviously, this does not apply to EVERY part on the bike, but we try to do the best we can.
#2. We track the bikes. We like to know what is left out of all the units that were made. What bikes have been broken for parts, wrecked, junked or resurrected. If not for Sam's work and our continued work, Tonny's list would not exist. Tonny received permission form Sam to copy the list to his fine Re5 site.
#3 If your bike is stolen and you tell us that it has been stolen… we may be able to help you recover it. If we require engine and frame numbers with every order, it would be very hard for a thief to get parts or service. Sam and I both, have aided in the recovery of several lost bikes.
Hope that helps answer some questions...
Best Regards,

I don't see a problem with this, it is a reasonable request.
I don't think anyone is going to break into my Swiss bank account using the VIN off of my RE-5, and they are going to be very disappointed if they do ;D

Why in holy hell would you NOT give the numbers when ordering parts? Does anyone really think Jess is trying to aquire all the remaining RE5's? "Let's see... (wringing hands) I'll get all of them, so no one calls me and bothers me with silly questions!" If you have ever been to RR, you would know that Jess and Barb have enough cool Rotary stuff (Not just RE5s) to last many lifetimes.
