I choke it and the engine runs good . I take it off choke and it runs good. I drive it for a mile or so and it runs good . Then it starts to sputter and hesitate . The engine will then die if I come to a stop. I then choke it and it runs better . After that I limp back home . it's apparently heat related . I timed it to 5 degrees . Fuel flow seems good . Very frustrating . I cleaned the carb the best I could . Hope someone can help . Regards, CPKID

Have you checked the oil injector for output? I found my oil supply line was filled with crap. If yours is blocked it may be getting hot due to all the wrong reasons. Try some premix 100:1 and see if the trouble persists.

Try running the bike with the fuel valve in the prime position and see if the problem continues. Sounds like you have a limited fuel flow and the bike runs until the float bowl empties out.
It could also be a plugged vent in the fuel tank. As you run the bike vacuum builds up and fuel flow slows. Try running with the fuel cap loose and see if the problem persists. After sitting for a while the vacuum buildup bleeds off and then the bike will run again.

Spent the day trying to resolve my bike not running well . Below is what I did. Modified petcocks Checked and cleaned oil pump and tubes to carb . Replaced diodes in CDI Module. had 270 VDC from transistor body to ground. Replaced plug. Can't get it running right yet . Noticed hairline crack in carborator. Leaking just above drain plug. This can't help my cause. I will put some JB WELD on it tomorrow. Runs good on choke and after choke . Go less than a mile it dies. I switch to choke head home . Regards, CPKID

She's running much better. I neglected to submerse air filter in 30 weight oil . I followed manuals instructions. You apparently need oil to create the proper vacuum. Also checked air filter hose was tight( little loose on filter box side...my bad )Put seal around plastic vacuum connection on top of the carb . I will eventually replace all vacuum hoses . The vacuum line is very important in this carb . It runs pretty good. It even shifts better. This bike needs everything optimal to get good performance . It needs more work , but it's now rideable. I now have a good understanding of the overall bike. This bike is not for beginners by any means. Thanks for all your help and posts. I'll keep you posted, but I took a boat anchor and remade it into a motorcycle. Also thanks Will ( my brother "Redbug" ) for all your help. Regards, CPKID
