I didn't really want to pull off my petcock valve yet again then cut out a blockoff plate for my valve, mostly out of lazyness because that is quite a nice clean way to resolve the leaking/flooding problem. So I ordered one of these from Amazon: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0023068MO/ref=oh_o01_s00_i00_detailsFits quite nicely, I fitted just fore of the air intake elbow. It isn't the prettiest thing in the world but it's a great quality valve and now my RE5 fires right up every time with no flooding from dripping carb.

Thanks for finding that. I need one for a Sportster project coming up.
