Got busy and made some stainless turn signal posts on my lathe. Took some work. Tried to match old post exactly. Had trouble with the hole, One side was small so I matched the drill and that broke off ruining my first attempt. Decided to go through all the way with 1/8. I think they will hold even with the wider hole. Stainless is tough to cut because as you cut it work hardens. Lathe is not metric so I got close to thread count at 20, cut the threads and then cleaned it up with a metric 10x1.25 die. Old post was very rusty when I got the bike. I had powder coated it but I did not like the look, wire brushed powder coat off for proper measurement. Here's the posts done, old one on left. www.cyclerestorer.com/pages/restoration_pics_view.php?bef_aft_row=21&td_var=71New Posts on bike. www.cyclerestorer.com/pages/restoration_pics_view.php?bef_aft_row=21&td_var=72If you go back a few pictures by hitting turn signal on top you will see the bike at local March 3rd show, it was a big hit. Now I just need to get it running again since the restore....

Yup, love the innovation too- at least they'll never go rusty now!
