For whatever reason, the link to Pipercross in my message doesn't work, but if you type it in, it works. (my bad, had a comma directly after the address, it's fixed NOW). There is a lot of technical info on their site regarding air filtration in general, it's a good read. They do recommend their formulation of cleaner and filter oil, so there's something I missed that wasn't mentioned on the Ebay listing. At the price, I'd reckon they would supply cleaner AND oil with the filter! Suppose I'll have to wait and see. They also DO offer one off filter fabrication services (bespoke service), so bikes that filters are no longer available for (like my Honda Elsinores) could have new filters made for them. I imagine you would at least need a usable template filter for them to go by however. Thought this info could be beneficial to the members.

I would imagine that the long distance, and the cavity, between the filter and the venturi of the carb could make for some bizarre flow dynamics if too great a vacuum was created by too restrictive a filter. I am using an oiled foam I cut out of a motocross filter, with no complaints. My stock filter had pretty much disappeared and been presumably digested by the motor.
I got my RE5 2 weeks ago, checked what filter is installed and found a self made one. I would be very interested in getting one if still available. Just dont know how to contact Miss Barbara at Rotary Recycle. I would like to order 2 filters but would need to know where to place the order. Thanks so much!
