Hi guys, wired the bike up today applied power to see what works Hmmmmmm! engine turns over on the button, brake lights work, indicators don't, turn the light to on and the neutral light comes on, on the first key position the 2 oil warning lights come on sometimes. I think the problem is a faulty ignition switch or a problem with some of the wiring on the bottom of the instruments, so going to pull the instruments and ignition switch from one my other re5's try the ignition switch first so hopefully will be able to trace what parts are at fault, just a bit of a pain in the ass to have to take one of my other bikes to bits, better that than buy new parts i don't need.
hope its not going to be to expensive!

hi all, got the electrics sorted now everything is working apart from the rear brake light which is down to a faulty switch goto to get a new one, the indicators and horn wasn't working because the big multi plug under the tank was not in properly and i had to put a new multi plug onto the ignition switch and 2 new ones on the LCD gear indicator, so thats another job crossed off the list.

well installed the grill and crash bar went to clean the brake hoses and fit them but the 2 bottom and 2 centre hoses are all cracked and block solid so have ordered some new ones, put some fuel in and just my luck the battery is flat so hooked up my jump/booster box and that is flat as well so everything is on charge so i can have a go at starting it later today.

well its all back together but it will not run, i think its the compression to low its 4.5 with my standard tester and the manual says it should be 8.5 so need to do some more head scratching!

Steve, Sorry to hear that... Sounds like the proper is duff... I was afraid of low compression when you described your symptoms. The good news is that I have good, tested used engines available. Best, Jess
