Is the procedure for checking the check valve to remove it from carb and does it unscrew from oil line? Then attach hose to it and a syringe? It should allow air to be pushed out of syringe but not draw air in. Does this sound right? any corrections welcome.

The hose fits over a barbed end on the banjo check-valve. Carefully pulling and twisting will release it. I checked mine by just blowing and sucking into the barbed end. Mine flowed equally both directions, so I replaced it.

Thanks for the tip. both where good 75 & 76 Truth be told the 76 is more of a parts bike until I can get a wiring harness and time.
The 75 also pass the metering pump test.

Just curious. How much "flow" should there be?
I have put oil in the gas for now. If I take off the the banjo check valve and seal it's opening on the carb, then I ride a while, what's a good metric? How much oil should I get from the banjo fitting assuming I let it run into a cup that I can measure?
Yes. I'm paranoid about this oil system. I AM getting oil from the banjo fitting but I want to know what is enough...

There is a proceedure in the manual for checking flow...
You don't need the "Suzuki" tool. Just use a graduated cylinder or large syringe...
Hook to the feed side of the pump and run the bike. See how much oil you use over a certain period of time at a steady rpm...
