OK I'm new with the RE5. There must be an easy trick. I'm trying to take the cover of so I can check that the oil pump cable is adjusted correctly., The oil lines to the cooler seem to be in the way. So what is the trick?

I got the cover off the 76 only after inadvertently pulling the oil hose from tank off. Note to self... pick up speedy dry! I guess you must rotate the cover around the hose. I'll have to remember that when I try it on the 75.

I had mine off yesterday. I removed one nut and moved the oil cooler out of the way just a little. I'm sure you figured that out by now...

I did get the cover off my 76. I too am going to have to move the oil cooler. The screw is stripped.

wiggle lots...
either that or crack the bolt on the oil cooler high pressure line... Dont need to take the bolt out... just loosen it so that you can get it out of the way of the metering pump cover Best,
