I have a challenge for you. I am planning on keeping my ,and or a RE-5 for a long time since these are such a great unique bike. So….what spare parts should be bought and put away. Now the real challenge is not to buy every part, but a reasonable list that is cost effective. Now why you my ask why, when we have Rotary Recycle.
1. I will have my bike for a long time and possibly longer than the stock Jess has on hand, or he may someday retire 2. If it is on my shelf I have control of it. 3. If I start a project I don’t have to stop order and wait for the part 4. If I get it sooner than later it will be cheaper and be able to find it 5. If I buy now it enables Rotary Recycle to cost out getting stuff made and increases my chance to have Rotary Recycle around for when I need that unanticipated part. Ok lets put on are thinking cap and put together a list. Now here is a small starter. Once the list is done then it makes it easier to the start to by parts in small batches and shelf them.
1. Complete Gasket Kit 2. Carb. Rebuild it 3. Check valve for the oil line to the carb
That is a start what would you add to the list

- Extra Cables
- Thermostat
- Headlight Bulb
When I first got my H2 the throttle cable broke after only 20 miles and it wasn't easy getting a replacement. I wanted to ride the bike, not look at it. So now I have every cable for both of my triples, NOS. I have already used a clutch cable for my H2 and a speedometer cable for the H1 and replaced the spares.

It's not the end of your riding pleasure if you break that rare cable, you can have them made. www.venhill.co.ukZ

Are they original cables? The throttle cable didn't come in gray on the H2 as far as I know. I could find out for sure easy enough. The early H1 had gray cables. What are the part numbers? I may be interested.
