What's this karma/smite thingy? How's come no one Exalt-ed, karma-ed or smite-ed ME yet? When you do get exalt-ed, karma-ed or smite-ed, does that mean you are now going steady or something.

Smiting is what you do when somebody make a smart ass post much like yours, and also mine!
So we have this big race to see who can get the most karma, all of us who were here from the beginning will have like +20 karma in a few years and can rub it in the face of new members how they will never be as exalted as us. You know, so we will be that much cooler! ;D

The way I take it, if someone is very helpful and/or on the board a lot trying to make things work, they get an exalt which adds to the count. Smite is the opposite. You can only do one rating and then you have to wait to do another. I don't know how long you have to wait to give somebody another one. I think I am about the only one that has been leaving them. If you see an exalt/smite by someones username, you can click one of them to add or subtract from there overall karma count.
