Still getting used to my new local area after leaving the big city of Sydney for a more rural setting. 14 months and still loving it despite fire, flood and sure glad we were here and not in the 'smoke for Covid: Meet a local- harmless middle sized Carpet snake (python). He's about 6 to 7'. Up to 9' is typical with some over 12':

Think he may find he has bitten of more that he could chew if he got his mouth around the heat of your exhaust pipes. Certainly allot bigger than the humble grass snake or adder I may see near me. Enjoy your freedom. Rog

What a beauty, I kinda wish we had snakes like that in the UK, although I think my chickens would disagree.

Certainly glad is was not an . Eastern brown as one was in a fellows UTE on the news in Queensland.
