Today, some very good news! Achievable only by reading posts and advice on here, I changed all fluids, followed carb clean and setting instructions, re fitted carb, purged oil feed, changed air filter, lubed rotors and ! ....Started, its running amazing bit of a tweek on tick over screw and air screw, no smoke either, my first experience with rotary so I'm very happy, Thanks everyone Dave

Another one rescued, just watch the change down from 2nd to first on your first couple of rides.

Ive got the front slave cylinders and master cylinder to re furbish before venturing out but i have gone through the gears while running, is first gear much lower than would be expected

Yes, going round a roundabout or tight bend just stay in second unless you are going walking speed, and power through. Regards Stuart.
