Racing Beat has been at it since day one with a Superior reputation. I just saw this for side housings repair and I could ask them and show them some RE5 side housings for an estimate if any interest. Link here.... Yes. But what about restoring the coating on that surface? Do they do that also? Jeff

Not sure how they'd go with our moly coating... might be worth asking the question if anyone was in dire need. Another option is to get them resprayed with moly then surface ground/lapped as per the norton rotary engines in the UK. Not sure who could do that though...
That seems to be the common failure for ours- moly eroding out of the pattern grooves. My 80,000km motor was fine with virtually no corner seal wear that the Mazdas get on the side housings at 3 and 9 o'clock.

I have sent 2 side plates to be assessed to “Philpot” here in the UK . They are renowned for their hard chrome but also Spray moly and other metals. I will keep you posted with their response.
